When Help Can’t Wait
This organization helps provide for the non-essential needs of nursing home residents. They provide simple comfort and convenience items such as individual face tissues, news socks, lotions, snacks, etc. Southern Industries helps them staff their fundraising events and volunteer as needed.
The Hale Foundation
The Hale House helps men recover from alcohol and drug addiction and return them to society as productive members. In addition to providing meals and supplies to the house throughout the year, Southern Industries also offers job opportunities to help those in recovery get a second chance at making a living for themselves.
The Golden Harvest Food Bank
The food bank provides quality food and grocery products to those in need. Southern Industries’ employees have volunteered time at the food warehouse sorting food and helping to prepare packages for distribution. Southern Industries also makes generous financial donations to help support the efforts of preventing hunger in our region.
The Salvation Army
Southern Industries helps with projects around the homeless shelter from spreading mulch to repairs and improvements. Our team also volunteers at Christmas as bell ringers for the Salvation Army’s annual kettle drive. Southern Industries’ employees always stand ready to serve when called on by the Salvation Army’s volunteer coordinators.
The Ronald McDonald House
Southern Industries employees work with various non-profits to serve the families of sick children being treated at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. Meals are served to the families staying at the house while their children are being treated. Employees also donate supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, toys, etc. to the house throughout the year.
Toys for Tots
Southern Industries has a long-time relationship with the US Marine Corps Reserve serving as collection locations for toy donations in the fall of each year. Toys for Tots distributes toys to the less fortunate in our communities throughout the holiday season.
Kiwanis International
Kiwanis is passionate about making a difference with kids around the world. They help their communities by helping fight disease and poverty as well as providing children with academic opportunities to help them prosper. Southern Industries employees serve on boards and in leadership positions in Kiwanis to help make a difference.
American Red Cross
The American Red Cross helps communities prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies and natural disasters. Southern Industries supports their efforts financially as well as having members of our team serve on various fundraising programs and as participating members of their local chapter’s Board of Directors.
